Villa Farm, a ministry of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, encompasses 728 acres of picturesque grounds of farmland with a soil and water conservation plan, wetlands, 400-acre Tree Farm, a 95-acre Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary, and nature trails. It is home to cattle, sheep, and colonies of bees. Land Management produces food for the community center. More than 9,000 pounds of organic vegetables (beans, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, beets, peppers and zucchini) and 4,500 dozen ears of sweet corn have been donated in a year to feed those who are hungry in surrounding communities. Educational programs include the use of land or soil, rearing of livestock, wetlands, forestry, wildlife, sustainability, and others in cooperation with EverGreen (see below). Land Management preserves the diversity of the living presence surrounding the Community Center and preserves the land in peace, harmony and beauty for future generations. [2004]

Sharing physical and spiritual nourishment with others is part of the HM heritage that continues today. EverGreen collaborates with Villa Land Management (see above) in offering educational programs related to organic gardening, forestry, wildlife, and more. EverGreen evolved in 1995 from Villa Maria Farm with the purpose of offering opportunities to rethink and redirect human/Earth relationships, to integrate Earth education and spirituality. Today, EverGreen provides a gathering place for celebrating the story of the universe and for creating a new vision of human/Earth relationships. EverGreen sponsors educational and experiential programs that promote simple and sustainable living, encourage advocacy for the health of Earth and of humanity, and renew creative energies. Seasonal rituals celebrate Earth’s changes and nature’s gifts. [2004]
