Campaigns on Food Justice
Food Justice: GROW Campaign The international relief and development organization Oxfam recently launched their GROW campaign to build a better food system: one that sustainably feeds a growing population (estimated to reach nine billion by 2050) and empowers poor people to earn a living, feed their families, and thrive. As part of World Food Day this year, Oxfam America is working with faith-based groups and others to host events called “Share a meal with the World’s Farmers”. This will take place on or around October 16 (a Sunday) and will combine a simple meal with a discussion and reflection on the state of the world’s hungry people. More details to come.
