Celebrate 100 years of Diocesan and Farming History in Toledo

Applications for the Century Farm Awards are now being accepted in the Diocese of Toledo. Applicants should submit copies of old deeds, titles, or parish or family religious records indicating exact date to support claims. The information must show family residence and ownership of a farm for at least 100 years. Name, address, phone number, parish and deanery must accompany verifying material. Families who have received plaques in the past are not eligible. Those whose entries are on record from previous years need not apply a second time, they will automatically be considered.

Rural Life Day Celebration

The Century Farm Awards will be presented as part of the annual Rural Life Day celebration to be held Sunday, September 19th beginning with 4 p.m. Mass at Fostoria St. Wendelin’s, with Bishop Leonard Blair presiding. A children’s centennial art award and dinner will follow Mass. The cost of the dinner is $6 for adults and $4 for children.
