Rural Outreach and Ministry

Pastoral Support

The historical mission of NCRLC, working in tandem with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, is to develop a network of diocesan rural life advocates, along with the active participation of grassroots rural people. Our role is to be a catalyst and convener for social justice in agriculture, environmental and rural issues.

We believe in the graciousness and generosity of the rural way of life. Rural people hold a unique tradition in their devotion to the Scriptures. The Church must respond in kind to the needs and concerns of rural communities.
